Te escribiría, pero, sinceramente, no sé qué decirte.
Quizá debería decirte que en realidad yo soy así.
Quizá debería decirte que siento que esto haya pasado, aunque en realidad no sé exactamente ni qué ha pasado ni si lo siento.
Sé que yo soy culpable en parte, no puedo negar la realidad. No voy a ir por ahí fingiendo ser una víctima. No quiero convencerme a mi misma de una cosa que sé que no es verdad. Yo soy culpable. Y aunque quede mal apuntar con el dedo, tú tambien lo eres. Las dos lo somos, lo queramos o no.
Somos culpables y quizá tú no lo sabes pero yo sí lo sé. Somos culpables por no hacer que las coses funcionen. Por rendirnos sin ni siquiera intentarlo incluso cuando habíamos dicho que íbamos a hacerlo. Esa es nuestra falta. No intentar hacer que todo volviera a funcionara.
No sé por qué lo hemos hecho. No sé por qué nos hemos rendido tan fácilmente, quizá yo no te he dado suficiente esperanza como para que tu pensaras que valía la pena luchar por una cosa que se estaba perdiendo. Y yo, viéndote cada día más lejos, llevo ya mucho tiempo sin saber qué decirte. Eso es lo que me pasa. Lo que siento. Como si ya no te conociera.
Puede que no sea justo que te diga esto, puede que en realidad tú lo hayas intentado mucho más de lo que yo creo. No lo sé. No sé como han ido las cosas, sólo sé lo que yo he visto y he percibido.
Y, sinceramente, y sé que a ti no te lo habrá parecido, no es que yo no haya intentado mantener el contacto contigo, no es que te haya defendido y respetado cuando lo único que hacías era dejarnos atrás de manera progresiva (aunque tú eso no lo sabes).
Supongo que ni tú misma te dabas cuenta de que te ibas, de que nos dejabas atrás cada vez más sin ni siquiera despedirte. No te dabas cuenta de que intentábamos seguir todos y conservar aquello que teníamos. Y es que nunca llegabas a tiempo como para formar parte de ello. Nunca decías nada.
Quizá estás cansada. Quizá yo también lo estoy. Quizá todos lo estamos.
En realidad, y aunque es triste, ya es un poco tarde para todo esto. Es tarde para que todo vuelva a ser normal. Ya ni siquiera te interesa tener una vida en la que estemos presentes.
Así que supongo que si tuviera que escribirte te diría todo esto.
Te escribiría, pero, sinceramente, no sé cómo decírtelo.
